Obituary

S. Gerald “Jerry” Miller, age 79, beloved husband of Judy for 56 years. Loving father of Scott Miller, Roberta (Tim) Williams and Gregg (Anjali Grant) Miller. Proud grandfather of Matt, Dana, Joe and Moses. Devoted brother to David (Rita) Miller and sister-in-law Eleanor (the late Sanford) Rosenthal, favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Bruce, Adawa and Don for their gentle care. Jerry was a founding member of the Hoffman Estates Jaycees and proud Silver member of the JUF. Chapel service Tues June 20, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish United Fund (JUF) or a charity of your choice. For information and condolences, 847-255- 3520 or www.shalommemorial.org.

We were so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. We had much more contact when our kids were growing up and now remember those happy times at YMCA events and at MacArthur. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

My wife and I have known Jerry and his family for many years. They all have all been terrific people!!! We live on the same block as they have lived on for many years.

I will always especially remember the great fun I had with Jerry and his brother when we all belonged to the Hoffman Estates Jaycees. What a wonderful and productive experience!
